Covid-19: Tokyo’s cherry blooms bring thousands to parks despite the threat of Covid-19

Cherry Blossom Festival draws crowds despite of Covid-19 warning by the government. Covid-19 has not prevented the Japanese people from coming outdoors to celebrate their annual tradition (Sakura) which mark the beginning of the Spring season in the country.

” I have mixed feelings. It’s great to see people enjoying life, but at the same time it is a little bit scary,” a 25 year old French resident of Tokyo who spent around 20 minutes at the park and would have stayed longer if not for the virus
