Yes, you read that correctly. Having balls, literally, can pose a greater threat in acquiring COVID19 according to a study posted on MedRxix. MedRixx hosts medical research papers that have yet to be peer reviewed.

It’s been documented that more men have been infected by the Corona Virus in Italy have spent a longer amount of time recovering compared to women.

In the study, it was mentioned that the virus attaches itself to a protein that occurs in high levels in the testicles.

There were 68 subjects between the ages, 3-75 years old and was conducted in Mumbai India. An no, thankfully, there were no images or sizes of testicles given in the study, for those who are wondering.

According to the study, the virus attaches itself to a certain protein called Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). This protein can be found in the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, heart and mostly in the testicles.

Since the testicles are not covered by the immune system, the virus could stay there for a longer period of time.

We do hope that more studies could be done on this and a cure would be much welcome to save men from cutting off any body part just to avoid the virus.
