Lonzo Ball was drafted #2 by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA draft. He was the only player that had his own brand. Many have said he missed out on millions of dollars on a shoe deal from one of the big players namely Nike, Under Armour or Addidas.
However, Allan Foster, the former executive and co-founder of Big Baller Brand, said in his channel that Lonzo was never offered a shoe deal. He even dared anyone to prove it to him. He claims that there were no offers to him, Lavar or Lonzo regarding a shoe deal.
He said, “So for the record, just to let you guys know, thinking that Zo missed out on millions of dollars, nobody offered a penny.”
This is very surprising to many of us as there was a lot of hype around Lonzo Ball coming into the league and even winning summer league MVP, where he wore other brands of shoes.
Ofcourse, this is all coming from Allan Foster only. It would be great if Lavar or one of the shoe companies come out air their side of things though.
